Ethel Isobel Virginia Noble was the daughter of Sir Andrew Noble of Ardmore, 1st Bt. and Margery Durham Campbell.2 She married Alfred Henry John Cochrane, son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson, on 25 July 1895.1 She died on 9 January 1961.1
From 25 July 1895, her married name became Cochrane. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.1

Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane was born on 27 April 1872.1 He was the son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson.2 He married Margaret Peregrina Ilbert, daughter of Sir Courtenay Ilbert, on 15 May 1907.1 He died on 11 January 1954 at age 81.1
He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Rouge Croix Pursuivant between 1904 and 1915.1 He held the office of Chester Herald between 1915 and 1926.1 He held the office of Registrar of the College of Arms between 1919 and 1928.1 He held the office of Norroy King of Arms between 1926 and 1928.1 He held the office of Clarenceux King of Arms in 1928.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1931.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1937.1
