Lt.-Col. Charles Elrington Duncan Davidson-Houston was the son of Reverend Bennett Clear Davidson-Houston.2 He married Constance Isabelle Barton Childers, daughter of Robert Caesar Childers and Anna Mary Henrietta Barton, on 11 February 1907.1 He died on 25 September 1915, killed in action, without issue.1
He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 58th (Vaughan's) Rifles, Indian Army.1 He fought in the Battle of Loos on 25 September 1915.1
