     He was with the Madras Police and Prisons Department between 1883 and 1900.1 He was with the UK Prisons Service between 1900 and 1922.1

     Ralph Henry Voltelin Cavendish was born on 27 March 1887 at Colombo, Sri LankaG.2 He was the son of Colonel Alfred Edward John Cavendish and Alice Isabella Van der Byl.2 He married Lady Gweneth Frida Ponsonby, daughter of Edward Ponsonby, 8th Earl of Bessborough and Blanche Vere Guest, on 4 February 1926.1 He died on 21 June 1968 at age 81.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1910.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Home Guard.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1945.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent in 1952.2

     Lady Gweneth Frida Ponsonby was born on 15 June 1888.1 She was the daughter of Edward Ponsonby, 8th Earl of Bessborough and Blanche Vere Guest.1 She married, firstly, Hon. Windham Baring, son of Major Rt. Hon. Evelyn Baring, 1st Earl of Cromer and Ethel Errington, on 10 July 1913.1 She married, secondly, Ralph Henry Voltelin Cavendish, son of Colonel Alfred Edward John Cavendish and Alice Isabella Van der Byl, on 4 February 1926.1 She died in 1984.2
     From 10 July 1913, her married name became Baring. From 4 February 1926, her married name became Cavendish. She was awarded the Order of Mercy.2 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent in 1942.2

     Hon. Windham Baring was born on 29 September 1880.2 He was the son of Major Rt. Hon. Evelyn Baring, 1st Earl of Cromer and Ethel Errington.1,2 He married Lady Gweneth Frida Ponsonby, daughter of Edward Ponsonby, 8th Earl of Bessborough and Blanche Vere Guest, on 10 July 1913.1 He died on 28 December 1922 at age 42.1
     He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He was managing director of Baring Brothers.2 He was director of the Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway.2

     Charles Gilbert Wodehouse was born on 28 December 1885.1 He was the son of Reverend Phillip John Wodehouse and Marion Bryan Wallas.2 He married Adelaide Mary Jamieson, daughter of George Jamieson, on 26 November 1919.1 He died on 26 July 1969 at age 83, without issue.1
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major between 1915 and 1920 in the Indian Army Reserve of Officers.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Crown of Belgium.1 He was Belgian Consul to Rangoon between 1928 and 1939.1 He was director of the Burma-Siam Rice Company.1

     Adelaide Mary Jamieson was the daughter of George Jamieson.2 She married, firstly, Arthur Gaitskell, son of James Gandy Gaitskell and Emily Todd Naylor, before 1906.1 She married, secondly, Charles Gilbert Wodehouse, son of Reverend Phillip John Wodehouse and Marion Bryan Wallas, on 26 November 1919.1 She died on 14 October 1956.1
     From before 1919, her married name became Gaitskell.1 Her married name became Wodehouse.
