     Sir George Henry Bowyer, 4th/9th Bt. was born on 9 September 1870.2 He was the son of Henry George Bowyer and Katherine Emma Sandby.3 He married Ethel Hawkins, daughter of Francis Hawkins, on 4 May 1899 at St. James' Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He and Ethel Hawkins were divorced on 7 November 1900 based on criminal conversation with Carey Johnstone, and American hotel propreitor.1 He died on 27 September 1950 at age 80, without issue.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Bowyer, of Radley, co. Berks [G.B., 1794] on 30 May 1893.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Bowyer, of Denham, co. Bucks [E., 1660] on 30 May 1893.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Cheshire Militia.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Staff and 4th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment.2 On his death, his 1794 baronetcy became extinct.3
