     Lord Ulick Browne was born on 16 January 1915.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Lord Alfred Eden Browne and Cicely Wormald.¹ He married, firstly, Elma Valerie Burnmanoff, daughter of Captain Andrew Burnmanoff, on 3 January 1942.¹ He married, secondly, Fiona Glenn, daughter of John Glenn, in March 1962.¹ He died on 22 October 1979 at age 64.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ On 2 May 1953 he was granted the rank of a marquess's younger son.¹
