     Lydia Charlotte Dashwood was the daughter of Reverend Samuel Vere Dashwood and Caroline Hammond.2 She married Captain Hugh Bateman on 19 September 1871.1 She died on 14 January 1902.1
     From 19 September 1871, her married name became Bateman.

     Edward Vere Dashwood was born on 25 June 1846.1 He was the son of Reverend Samuel Vere Dashwood and Edith Elizabeth Hawkshaw.2 He married Laura Frederica Penelope Crofts, daughter of Major Edmund Crofts, in 1888.1 He died on 15 May 1919 at age 72.1
     He was County Treasurer of Hampshire.1

     From 1888, her married name became Dashwood.

     Lt.-Col. Vere Edmund Crofts Dashwood was born on 10 March 1889.1 He was the son of Edward Vere Dashwood and Laura Frederica Penelope Crofts.2 He married Kathleen Ethel Logan, daughter of Crawford Logan, on 7 April 1956.1 He died on 9 May 1967 at age 78, without issue.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1
