He was also known as Peter Legh.2 He lived at Lyme Park, Cheshire, England.1 He was educated at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigan in 1586.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Cheshire in 1594/95.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cheshire in 1597.1 He was appointed Knight in 1598.1
