Lt.-Col. Gordon Dalyell of the Binns was the son of Lt.-Col. William Loch.2 He married Eleanor Isabel Dalyell, daughter of Sir James Bruce Wilkie-Dalyell of the Binns, 9th Bt. and Mary Marjoribanks Askew-Robertson, on 12 September 1928.1 He died on 15 September 1953.2
He was with the Indian Political Service.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)1 He held the office of Unicorn Pursuivant of Arms.1 He was given the name of Percy Gordon Loch at birth.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of West Lothian.1 In 1938 his name was legally changed to Gordon Dalyell of the Binns by decree of the Lord Lyon.2
