     Henry Le Fanu was born on 13 January 1747.¹ He was the son of Guillaume Philippe Le Fanu and Henriette Raboteau de Puygibaud.² He married Anne Elizabeth Sheridan, daughter of Thomas Sheridan and Frances Chamberlayne, in 1789.¹ He died on 9 August 1821 at age 74 at Northampton, Northamptonshire, England^G.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 56th Regiment.¹
