     Helen Beatrice Newman was born on 3 December 1867 at Mayfair, London, England.^2,3 She was the daughter of Thomas Holdsworth Newman and Elizabeth Laura Smith.² She married Colonel William Vere Reeve King-Fane, son of William Dashwood Fane and Susan Millicent Reeve, on 16 May 1895.² She died on 8 March 1962 at age 94.¹
     From 16 May 1895, her married name became Fane. From September 1920, her married name became King-Fane.¹

     Henry William Newman Fane was born on 6 February 1897.¹ He was the son of Colonel William Vere Reeve King-Fane and Helen Beatrice Newman.² He married Dorothy Mary Findlay, daughter of Alexander Ogilvy Findlay, on 14 December 1946.¹ He died on 23 May 1976 at age 79.¹

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹
