Helen Beatrice Newman was born on 3 December 1867 at Mayfair, London, England.2,3 She was the daughter of Thomas Holdsworth Newman and Elizabeth Laura Smith.2 She married Colonel William Vere Reeve King-Fane, son of William Dashwood Fane and Susan Millicent Reeve, on 16 May 1895.2 She died on 8 March 1962 at age 94.1

Henry William Newman Fane was born on 6 February 1897.1 He was the son of Colonel William Vere Reeve King-Fane and Helen Beatrice Newman.2 He married Dorothy Mary Findlay, daughter of Alexander Ogilvy Findlay, on 14 December 1946.1 He died on 23 May 1976 at age 79.1
He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1915 in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire in 1937.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire in 1951.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1952.1 He was chairman of the Lincolnhire Police Authority in 1968.1
