David Lumsden, 9th of Cushnie was the son of Alexander Lumsden, 8th of Cushnie and Elizabeth Leith.2 He married Margaret Forbes, daughter of Sir John Forbes of Craigievar, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Young, in 1703.1 He died on 23 December 1718.1

Robert Lumsden was the son of Robert Lumsden, 7th of Cushnie and Agnes Leith.2 He married Isobel Forbes, daughter of unknown Forbes of Tulloch.1 He died in 1690 at Glen of Cushnie, ScotlandG, killed by soldiers of King William III.1
