Colonel Arnold William Rivers Currie was born on 25 July 1923.1 He was the son of Major Disney Rivers Currie and Ethel Jeanette Bryce-Smith.2 He married Daphne Valerie Helen Nash, daughter of Commander Reginald Nash, on 26 March 1960.1 He died on 17 December 1973 at age 50.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Scots.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1966.1
