     Sarah Skargell was born in 1726.² She was the daughter of Samuel Skargell and Elizabeth Cunliffe.^3,1 She married Joseph Owen, son of Joseph Owen, on 2 January 1746.¹
     From 2 January 1746, her married name became Owen.

     Charles Owen was the son of Joseph Owen and Sarah Skargell.² He married, firstly, Mary Newman on 3 April 1784.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Ann (?) on 3 September 1801.¹ He died on 23 February 1805.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.¹ He lived at Chelsea, London, England^G.¹

     Mary Newman married Charles Owen, son of Joseph Owen and Sarah Skargell, on 3 April 1784.¹ She died on 17 August 1793.¹
     From 3 April 1784, her married name became Owen.

     Captain Charles Cunliffe-Owen was born on 12 May 1786.¹ He was the son of Charles Owen and Mary Newman.² He married Mary Peckwell Blossett, daughter of Sir Henry Blossett, on 9 January 1821.¹ He died on 20 February 1872 at age 85.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Wycoller Hall, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Sir Henry Blossett held the office of Chief Justice of Bengal.¹

     Mary Peckwell Blossett is the daughter of Sir Henry Blossett.² She married Captain Charles Cunliffe-Owen, son of Charles Owen and Mary Newman, on 9 January 1821.¹

     Sir Francis Philip Cunliffe-Owen was born on 8 June 1828.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles Cunliffe-Owen and Mary Peckwell Blossett.³ He married Jenny von Reitzenstein, daughter of Fritz von Baron Reitzenstein, on 12 May 1854.¹ He died on 23 March 1894 at age 65.¹
     He was Director of V&A.¹ He was awarded the Grand Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)¹

     Fritz von Baron Reitzenstein was Aide-de-Camp General to Frederick Wilhelm IV of Prussia.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Prussian Horse Guards.¹

     Jenny von Reitzenstein was the daughter of Fritz von Baron Reitzenstein.² She married Sir Francis Philip Cunliffe-Owen, son of Captain Charles Cunliffe-Owen and Mary Peckwell Blossett, on 12 May 1854.¹ She died on 24 September 1894.¹
     From 12 May 1854, her married name became Cunliffe-Owen.
