     Rosemary Jane Wells is the daughter of Ernest Sydney Wells.¹ She married Henry Jeffrey Ponsonby, son of Thomas Brabazon Ponsonby and Frances May Paynter, on 30 April 1960.¹
     From 30 April 1960, her married name became Ponsonby.

     Noreen de Vere Ponsonby was born on 14 August 1917.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Brabazon Ponsonby and Frances May Paynter.¹ She married Brigadier Henry Lawrence Savill Young, son of Major George Edward Savill Young and Alison Jane Poole, on 19 September 1939.¹ She died on 27 October 2017 at age 100.²
     Her married name became Young. She lived in 2003 at End House, Pilton, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Thomas of Astley, 3rd Lord Astley was born before 1308.¹ He was the son of Sir Giles of Astley and Alice Wolvey.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth de Beauchamp, daughter of Guy de Beauchamp, 10th Earl of Warwick and Alice de Toeni, before 1336/37.¹ He died after 3 May 1366.¹
     On 27 March 1326 he had seizin, having proved his age.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Astley [E., 1295] on 25 February 1342/43.¹ He founded a chantry in the parish church of Astley.¹ He had three younger children.²

     Lady Elizabeth de Beauchamp is the daughter of Guy de Beauchamp, 10th Earl of Warwick and Alice de Toeni.¹ She married Thomas of Astley, 3rd Lord Astley, son of Sir Giles of Astley and Alice Wolvey, before 1336/37.¹

     Brigadier Henry Chambré Ponsonby was born on 8 April 1883.² He was the son of Chambré Brabazon Ponsonby and Hon. Mary Eliza Sophia Plunkett.² He married Beatrice Maud Cecil Levinge, daughter of Sir William Henry Levinge, 9th Bt. and Emily Judith Sutton, on 5 July 1923.² He died on 2 January 1953 at age 69.²
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.² He was awarded the Military Cross Greek.² He was General Staff Officer (1) of the 4th Division between 1932 and 1935.² He was Temporary Brigadier of the 6th Infantry Brigade between 1935 and 1939.² He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier in 1939.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.²

     Beatrice Maud Cecil Levinge was born on 9 March 1886.² She was the daughter of Sir William Henry Levinge, 9th Bt. and Emily Judith Sutton.¹ She married Brigadier Henry Chambré Ponsonby, son of Chambré Brabazon Ponsonby and Hon. Mary Eliza Sophia Plunkett, on 5 July 1923.¹ She died on 4 February 1961 at age 74.¹
     Her married name became Ponsonby.

     Sir William Henry Levinge, 9th Bt. was born on 21 May 1849.² He was the son of William James Levinge and Hon. Anna Maria Fock.² He married Emily Judith Sutton, daughter of Sir Richard Sutton, 4th Bt. and Harriet Anne Burton, on 2 November 1876.² He died on 17 April 1900 at age 50.²
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Battalion Rifle Brigade.² He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Levinge, of High Park, co. Westmeath [I., 1704] on 22 March 1885.² He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Volunteer Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.²

     Emily Judith Sutton was born on 9 December 1855 at Skeffington, Leicestershire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Richard Sutton, 4th Bt. and Harriet Anne Burton.² She married Sir William Henry Levinge, 9th Bt., son of William James Levinge and Hon. Anna Maria Fock, on 2 November 1876.³ She died on 12 January 1921 at age 65.³
     Her married name became Levinge.
