     Reverend John Henry Spread was born on 19 September 1914 at Liss, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He is the son of Reverend Rudoplh Alfred Richard Spread and Catherine Barbara Mary Seymour.¹ He married Ruth Anson in 1940.¹

     George Augustus Haldane was the son of George Haldane, 18th of Gleneagles and Margaret Drummond.² He died on 26 October 1799, unmarried.¹

     Margaret Haldane was born circa 1785.¹ She was the daughter of George Haldane, 18th of Gleneagles and Margaret Drummond.² She married General William Robertson, 13th of Lude, son of James Robertson, 12th of Lude and Margaret Mercer, in 1802.¹ She died in 1806.¹

     John Grove was born on 4 December 1784.¹ He was the son of Thomas Grove and Charlotte Pilfold.² He married Jean Helen Fraser, daughter of Sir William Fraser, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Farquharson, on 17 January 1818.¹ He died on 14 April 1858 at age 73.¹
     He lived at Ferne, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Jean Helen Fraser was the daughter of Sir William Fraser, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Farquharson.^2,3 She married John Grove, son of Thomas Grove and Charlotte Pilfold, on 17 January 1818.¹ She died on 8 October 1869.¹
     From 17 January 1818, her married name became Grove.
