Sir William John Ferguson Davie, 4th Bt. was born on 17 June 1863.1 He was the son of Sir William Augustus Ferguson Davie, 3rd Bt. and Frances Harriett Miles.2 He married Phina Nelson, daughter of Thomas Nelson, on 2 April 1891.1 He died on 12 July 1947 at age 84, without issue.1
He gained the rank of Major in the Border Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Ferguson Davie, of Creedy, co. Devon [U.K., 1847] on 18 January 1915.1
