     Mary White was the daughter of Edmund White.² She married Humphrey Davie, son of Sir John Davie, 1st Bt. and Juliana Strode, before 25 May 1655.¹ She died on 30 December 1681.¹
     From before 25 May 1655, her married name became Davie.¹

     He graduated from Padua, Italy^G, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was educated at Harvard College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Sir John Davie, 5th Bt. was the son of Humphrey Davie and Mary White.² He married Elizabeth Richards, daughter of James Richards and Sarah Gibbons, before 1691.² He was also reported to have died circa December 1727.² He was buried on 29 December 1727.²
     He was educated in 1681 at Harvard College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.² He was a Rate Collector for Poquonock (later incorporated as Groton) in 1695 at Groton, Connecticut, U.S.A.^G.² He was the Town Clerk in 1707 at Groton, Connecticut, U.S.A.^G.² He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Davie, of Creedy [E., 1641] circa March 1706/7.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Devon in 1715.²

     Henry Franklin married Margaret Davie, daughter of Humphrey Davie and Mary White, on 22 December 1702.¹ He died in 1713.¹
