     Janet Henrietta Curtis was born on 10 June 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Berwick Curtis and Mildred Henrietta Curtis.² She married, firstly, Commander William Kenneth Ramsden Cross, son of Thomas Cross, on 23 July 1927.¹ She and Commander William Kenneth Ramsden Cross were divorced in 1936.¹ She married, secondly, Major Arthur Christopher John Congreve, son of General Sir Walter Norris Congreve, V.C. and Cecilia Henrietta Dolores La Touche, on 9 April 1943.¹ She married, thirdly, Albert Russell Cowell in 1951.¹ She and Major Arthur Christopher John Congreve were divorced in 1950.¹ She died on 22 September 2012 at age 104.³

     Commander William Kenneth Ramsden Cross was born on 22 September 1903.² He was the son of Thomas Cross.³ He married, firstly, Janet Henrietta Curtis, daughter of Vice-Admiral Berwick Curtis and Mildred Henrietta Curtis, on 23 July 1927.¹ He and Janet Henrietta Curtis were divorced in 1936.¹ He married, secondly, Noreen Joyce Edington on 3 November 1938 at Westminster, London, England.² He died on 24 May 1941 at age 37, killed on board H.M.S. Hood.¹
