     Maud Gertrude Hadley was the daughter of Edward Hadley.¹ She married Richard George Baillie, son of Reverend Thomas George Baillie and Ellen Isabella Gregson, in 1915.¹ She died on 2 December 1952.¹

     Brigadier John Robert Edward Hamilton-Baillie was born on 1 March 1919.¹ He was the son of Richard George Baillie and Maud Gertrude Hadley.¹ He was also reported to have been born on 4 March 1919.¹ He married Lettice Mary Pumphrey, daughter of Charles Ernest Pumphrey and Iris Mary Bell, on 27 September 1947.¹ He died on 16 April 2003 at age 84.¹
     Brigadier John Robert Edward Hamilton-Baillie also went by the nick-name of Jock.¹ He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940, where he became a POW.¹ He was on staff in 1945 at School of Military Engineering, Roorkee, India^G.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1945.¹ He graduated from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1972 and 1974.¹ He retired from the military in 1974, with the rank of Brigadier, late of the Engineering Plans, Ministry of Defence.¹ He was teacher of soil mechanics in 1974 at Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Lettice Mary Pumphrey was the daughter of Charles Ernest Pumphrey and Iris Mary Bell.¹ She married Brigadier John Robert Edward Hamilton-Baillie, son of Richard George Baillie and Maud Gertrude Hadley, on 27 September 1947.¹ She died on 20 August 2001.¹
     From 27 September 1947, her married name became Hamilton-Baillie.¹

     Charles Ernest Pumphrey married Iris Mary Bell, daughter of Charles Frederick Moberly Bell and Ethel Chataway.
