Brigadier John Robert Edward Hamilton-Baillie was born on 1 March 1919.1 He was the son of Richard George Baillie and Maud Gertrude Hadley.1 He was also reported to have been born on 4 March 1919.1 He married Lettice Mary Pumphrey, daughter of Charles Ernest Pumphrey and Iris Mary Bell, on 27 September 1947.1 He died on 16 April 2003 at age 84.1
