     Charles Kinnaird, 6th Lord Kinnaird was the son of George Kinnaird and Lady Helen Gordon.1 He married Barbara Johnstone, daughter of Sir James Johnstone of Westerhall, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Barbara Murray.1 He died in 1767.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Lord Kinnaird, of Inchture, co. Perth [S., 1682] on 16 July 1758.1

     Hon. Barbara Murray was the daughter of Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank and Elizabeth Stirling.1,3 She married Sir James Johnstone of Westerhall, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Johnstone of Westerhall, 2nd Bt. and Henrietta Johnstone, on 1 September 1719.4 She died on 15 March 1773.4
     From 1 September 1719, her married name became Johnstone.

Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank1

     Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank was born on 9 March 1676/77.2 He was the son of Patrick Murray, 3rd Lord Elibank and Anne Burnet.3 A contract for the marriage of Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank and Elizabeth Stirling was signed on 24 February 1697/98.2 He married Elizabeth Stirling, daughter of George Stirling and Mary Cheap, in March 1697/98 at Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland.4 He died on 6 February 1735/36 at age 58.2
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Murray, of Etrick Forest, co. Selkirk [N.S., 1628] in 1686.2 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Elibank, of Etrick Forest, co. Selkirk [S., 1643] in 1686.5 He was a founder of the Society of Improvers in the knowledge of Agriculture in Scotland in 1723.2

     Elizabeth Stirling was the daughter of George Stirling and Mary Cheap.1,2 A contract for the marriage of Elizabeth Stirling and Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank was signed on 24 February 1697/98.3 She married Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank, son of Patrick Murray, 3rd Lord Elibank and Anne Burnet, in March 1697/98 at Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland.2 She died on 11 November 1756.3
     From March 1697/98, her married name became Murray.

     George Kinnaird, 7th Lord Kinnaird was the son of Charles Kinnaird, 6th Lord Kinnaird and Barbara Johnstone.1 He married Elizabeth Ransom, daughter of Griffin Ransom, on 22 July 1777.1 He died on 11 October 1805.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Kinnaird, of Inchture, co. Perth [S., 1682] in 1767.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1787 and 1790.1

     Her married name became Kinnaird.

     Charles Kinnaird, 8th Lord Kinnaird was born on 12 April 1780.1 He was the son of George Kinnaird, 7th Lord Kinnaird and Elizabeth Ransom.1 He married Lady Olivia Letitia Catherine FitzGerald, daughter of William Robert FitzGerald, 2nd Duke of Leinster and Hon. Emilia Olivia St. George, on 8 May 1806 at London, EnglandG.3 He died on 12 December 1826 at age 46.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leominster between 1802 and 1805.1 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Kinnaird, of Inchture, co. Perth [S., 1682] on 11 October 1805.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] from 1806 to 1807.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4
