     Her married name became van der Post.1 From 2 July 1931, her married name became Young-Giffard.

     Gordon Arthur James Young-Giffard married Ingaret Stella Giffard, daughter of Hardinge Frank Giffard and Evelyn Alice Chambers, on 2 July 1931.1
     He was given the name of Gordon Arthur Janes Young at birth.1 On 2 July 1931 his name was legally changed to Gordon Arthur Janes Young-Giffard.1

     Hardinge Stanley Giffard, 1st Earl of Halsbury was born on 3 September 1823.1 He was the son of Stanley Lees Giffard and Susanna Meares Moran.2 He married, firstly, Caroline Humphreys, daughter of W. C. Humphreys, on 28 August 1852.1 He married, secondly, Wilhelmina Woodfall, daughter of Henry Woodfall, on 14 October 1874. He died on 11 December 1921 at age 98.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1850 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1852 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1855 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1865.1 He held the office of Bencher of Inner Temple in 1865.1 He lived between 1875 and 1880 Solicitor-General.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
