Anna Maria Shirley was born illegitimately on 16 March 1745.1 She was the daughter of Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers and Margaret Clifford.2 She married John Louis Pasteur.1 She died on 26 January 1816 at age 70.1
From 2 August 1782, her married name became Pasteur.

Vice-Admiral Washington Shirley, 5th Earl Ferrers was born on 26 May 1722.1 He was the son of Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges.2 He married Anne Elliot, daughter of John Elliot.1 He died on 11 October 1778 at age 56, without issue.1
He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Shirley, of Staunton Harold [E., 1611] on 5 May 1760.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl Ferrers [G.B., 1711] on 5 May 1760.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Tamworth, of co. Stafford [G.B., 1711] on 5 May 1760.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the Blue.1
