     Walter Charles Butler-Stoney was born on 23 October 1846.1 He was the son of Thomas Butler-Stoney and Sarah Elizabeth Fannin.1 He married Ellen Cattley Kemble, daughter of Reverend Charles Kemble and Charlotte Cattley, on 12 December 1872.1 He died on 8 March 1919 at age 72.1
     He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tipperary.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tipperary.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tipperary in 1907.1 He lived at Portland Park, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1

     Ellen Cattley Kemble was born on 2 July 1854 at Montague Place, Stockwell, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Reverend Charles Kemble and Charlotte Cattley.1,2 She married Walter Charles Butler-Stoney, son of Thomas Butler-Stoney and Sarah Elizabeth Fannin, on 12 December 1872.1 She died on 27 January 1912 at age 57 at Borrisokane, County Tipperary, Ireland.1,2
     From 12 December 1872, her married name became Butler-Stoney.1
