Captain Nevinson Blennerhassett de Courcy was born on 20 February 1789.2 He was the son of Admiral Hon. Michael de Courcy and Anne Blennerhassett.1 He married Mary Blennerhassett, daughter of William Blennerhassett and Catherine Johnson, on 10 August 1810.1 He died on 1 November 1845 at age 56.1
He was appointed Knight, Order of the Tower and Sword of Portugal (K.T.S.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He also had three daughters, who all died unmarried.2
