     Malcolm Moncreiffe, 6th of that Ilk was the son of John Moncreiffe, 5th of that Ilk.¹ He married Elna Murray, daughter of Sir David Murray of Tullibardine.¹ He died in 1464/65.¹
     He was a member of King James III's Council of Lords Auditors.¹ On 1 December 1455 he received a charter incorporating his Highland and Lowland lands into the free Barony of Moncreiffe.¹
