Anthony Mervyn Cole-Hamilton was born on 25 November 1919.¹ He was the son of Venerable Richard Mervyn Cole-Hamilton and Margaret Bennett.¹ He married, firstly, Monica Mary Cartwright, daughter of Lt.-Col.      Monica Mary Cartwright was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Rogers Cartwright.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Anthony Mervyn Cole-Hamilton, son of Venerable Richard Mervyn Cole-Hamilton and Margaret Bennett, on 25 November 1944.¹ She died on 8 September 1954, as the result of an accident.¹
     She gained the rank of 3rd Officer in the Women's Royal Naval Service.¹ From 25 November 1944, her married name became Cole-Hamilton.

     Dr. David John Cole-Hamilton was born on 22 May 1948.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Cdr. Anthony Mervyn Cole-Hamilton and Monica Mary Cartwright.¹ He married Elizabeth Ann Brown, daughter of Bruce Lloyd Brown, on 25 August 1973.¹
