     Major Robert Blakeney was the son of Thomas Blakeney and Sarah Hatton.¹ He married, firstly, Martha Bolton, daughter of unknown Corty.² He married, secondly, Susannah Ormsby, daughter of Captain Edward Ormsby.² His will (dated 10 February 1658) was proven (by probate) on 6 July 1660.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the Sir Charles Coote's Regiment of Dragoons.² He was granted Gallagh, County Galway, and lands in Counties Mayo and Kilkenny by Cromwell for his military services.² He lived at Castle Gallagh, County Galway, Ireland^G, also called Castle Blakeney.²

     Lieutenant William Blakeney was the son of Thomas Blakeney and Sarah Hatton.¹ He died on 31 March 1664.¹ He was buried at St. Peter's Church, Kilmallock, County Limerick, Ireland^G, where the Norfolk Blakeneys', (from whom this family traditionally claim descent), coat-of-arms is displayed on his tomb.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Army.¹ He granted lands in County Limerick, Ireland^G, by Cromwell, which were confirmed to his elder son by King Charles II by Letters Patent 16 February 1666.¹ He lived at Mount Blakeney¹ and at Thomastown, County Limerick, Ireland^G.¹

     Amelia Hume was born on 23 January 1772.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Abraham Hume, 2nd Bt. and Lady Amelia Egerton.¹ She married Charles Long, 1st Baron Farnborough of Bromley Hill Place, son of Beeston Long and Sarah Cropp, on 28 May 1793 at Berkeley Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 15 January 1837 at age 64.¹
     From 28 May 1793, her married name became Long.¹

     Elizabeth Bowerman was the daughter of Cornet Henry Bowerman and Katherine Purdon.¹ She married William Blakeney, son of Lieutenant William Blakeney.¹
     Her married name became Blakeney.¹

     Cornet Henry Bowerman married Katherine Purdon, daughter of Maurice Purdon.¹
     He lived at Cooliney, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Katherine Purdon was the daughter of Maurice Purdon.¹ She married Cornet Henry Bowerman.¹
     Her married name became Bowerman.¹

     Maurice Purdon lived at Ballyclough, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Sarah Long was born on 12 March 1749.¹ She was the daughter of Beeston Long and Sarah Cropp.¹ She married Sir George William Prescott, 1st Bt. on 21 April 1774.¹ She died on 18 July 1817 at age 68.¹
     From 21 April 1774, her married name became Prescott.¹

     Lt.-Col. George Blakeney was the son of William Blakeney and Elizabeth Bowerman.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 22 May 1703 in the Villiers' Regiment of Marines.¹

     Lieutenant Charles Blakeney was the son of William Blakeney and Elizabeth Bowerman.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 18 February 1712 in the Royal Scots.¹
