Major Martin Arthur O'Brien ffrench Blake was born on 10 January 1921.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur O'Brien ffrench Blake and Laura Iris Walker.2 He married Betty Rosemarie Whitacre Allen, daughter of Brigadier John Frederick Whitacre Allen, on 27 July 1946.1 He died on 9 June 1994 at age 73 at Maidstone, Kent, England.3
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He retired from the military in 1959, with the rank of Major, late of the Buffs.1 He was a member of the London Stock Exchange from 1960.1 He was a member of the Court of Assistants, Mercer Company.1 As of 1976, Major Martin Arthur O'Brien ffrench Blake lived at Rosemount Cottage, Loose, Maidstone, Kent, EnglandG.1

Richard Blake married Eveline Lynch.1
He was also known as Richard Caddell.1 He was also known as Richard Niger.1 In 1278 Richard Blake obtained a grant of the castle and lands of Kiltorroge, and the castle and four quarters of Ballimacroe (now Carnmore), in the Barony of Dunkellin, Claregalway, County Galway, Ireland.1 He was the common ancestor of all the families of Blake in Connaught, IrelandG.1 He held the office of Portreeve of the town of Galway in 1290.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Connaught between 1303 and 1306.1 He held the office of Portreeve of the town of Galway in 1312.1 He purchased from Thomas de Hobrigge, the manor and lands of Kiltullagh, County Galway, IrelandG, in 1315.1
