     Richard Rothwell was born in March 1799.² He was the son of Thomas Rothwell and Helena Upton.² He married Elizabeth Sutton, daughter of Reverend Thomas Sutton, on 17 June 1824.² He died on 13 August 1853 at age 54.²
     He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1820 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He held the office of High Sheriff of County Meath in 1839.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Meath.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Meath.² He lived at Rockfield, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Rothwell was the daughter of Richard Rothwell and Elizabeth Sutton.^1,2 She married Reverend Edward Butler, son of Reverend Richard Butler and Martha Rothwell, in 1868.¹ She died in 1913.¹
     From 1868, her married name became Butler.

     Richard Smith was born in 1797.¹ He married Mary Mortimer.¹ He died in 1872.¹

     Katherine May Dorothea Butler was born in 1870.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Edward Butler and Mary Elizabeth Rothwell.¹ She married Sir Ivor Algernon Atkins, son of Frederick Atkins, on 27 April 1899.¹ She died on 15 December 1954.¹

     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Clolege of Organists (F.R.C.O.)¹

     John Butler was the son of Reverend Richard Butler and Martha Rothwell.¹ He married Mary Barton, daughter of Robert Barton, in 1863.¹ He died in 1890.¹
     He lived at Maiden Hall, Bennettsbridge, County Kilkenny, Ireland^G.¹

     Robert Barton lived at Greenhill, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary Barton is the daughter of Robert Barton.¹ She married John Butler, son of Reverend Richard Butler and Martha Rothwell, in 1863.¹
