Mabel Bagenal was the daughter of Sir Nicholas Bagenal and Eleanora Griffith.1 She married Hugh O'Neill, 3rd Earl of Tyrone, son of Ferdoragh O'Neill, 1st Baron of Dungannon and Joan Maguire, on 3 August 1591. They had eloped.1 She died in December 1595.1
After her marriage, Mabel Bagenal was styled as Countess of Tyrone on 3 August 1591. From 3 August 1591, her married name became O'Neill.1

Edward Herbert, 3rd Baron Herbert of Chirbury was born circa 1633.2 He was the son of Richard Herbert, 2nd Baron Herbert of Chirbury and Lady Mary Egerton.2 He married, firstly, Anne Myddelton, daughter of General Sir Thomas Myddelton and Mary Napier, before 1660.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Brydges, daughter of George Brydges, 6th Baron Chandos of Sudeley and Lady Susan Montagu, on 20 August 1673.2 He died on 9 December 1678, without issue.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Herbert of Castle Island [I., 1624] on 13 May 1655.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Herbert of Chirbury [E., 1629] on 13 May 1655.2 In 1659 he joined the abortive uprising by General Booth on behalf of King Charles II.2 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of Montgomeryshire between 1660 and 1678.2 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of Denbighshire between 1666 and 1678.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1669.2
