Alexander Carnegie of Vayne and Balnamoon1

     Alexander Carnegie of Vayne and Balnamoon was the son of Rt. Hon. David Carnegie of Kinnaird and Eupheme Wemyss.2 He married Giles Blair, daughter of Alexander Blair, 10th of Balthayoch and Elizabeth Halyburton.1 He died in October 1657.1
     He was ancestor of the Carnegies of Balmanoon.2

     Isobel Gray was the daughter of Andrew Gray, 2nd Lord Gray and Lady Elizabeth Stewart.2,3 She married, firstly, Sir James Scrymgeour, son of Sir James Scrymgeour of Dudhope and Margaret Maitland, in 1495.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Campbell of Lundie, son of Thomas Campbell, after 1513.3 She died after 27 April 1529.3
     From 1495, her married name became Scrymgeour. From after 1513, her married name became Campbell.3
