     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Northwest Frontier between 1897 and 1898.² He fought in the Uganda Campaign between 1897 and 1899, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1899.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was severely wounded.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was severely wounded and was mentioned in despatches.² He was Order of the White Eagle of Serbia.² He was awarded the Order of the Nile.² He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Italy.² He was Chief of Military Mission in Berlin between 1919 and 1921.² He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.² He was General Officer Commanding of the Malaya between 1921 and 1924.² He gained the rank of Major-General in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1922.² He was President of British North Borneo Company in 1926.²

     George Harold Malcolm was born on 18 May 1875.² He was the son of Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm, 16th of Poltalloch and Isabella Wyld Brown.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Gladys Josephine Dresser, daughter of Frederick Dresser, on 26 April 1906.² He married, secondly, Myra Irene Kitson, daughter of Colonel Charles Edward Kitson, on 7 February 1929.²
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.² He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1896 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was with the British North Borneo Civil Service between 1899 and 1903.² He was with the Agricultural Bank of Egypt between 1903 and 1926.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.² He held the office of Governor of Sinai in 1918, acting.² He was Secretary of the Diocese of Lichfield between 1926 and 1935.² He lived at Achadh nan Sgiath, Duror of Appin, Argyllshire, Scotland.³

     Maurice de Wiveleslie Malcolm was born on 10 August 1877.² He was the son of Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm, 16th of Poltalloch and Isabella Wyld Brown.¹ He married Henrietta Fairfax Copeland, daughter of Richard Pirie Copeland, on 10 July 1907.² He died on 2 January 1940 at age 62.²
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.²

     William Alastair Malcolm was born on 11 July 1881.² He was the son of Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm, 16th of Poltalloch and Isabella Wyld Brown.¹ He married Eva Roseline Johnstone, daughter of John Brown Johnstone, on 2 June 1908.² He died on 24 September 1930 at age 49.²
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Highland Light Infantry.²

     Dorothy Isabel Malcolm was born on 14 November 1883.² She was the daughter of Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm, 16th of Poltalloch and Isabella Wyld Brown.¹ She married Brigadier William Bradley Gosset Barne, son of Captain William Charles Barne, on 23 September 1908.²
     From 23 September 1908, her married name became Barne.
