     Major Francis Cecil Moore was born on 2 December 1880.¹ He was the son of Captain William Boyle Moore and Ada Cicely Bowyer-Smijth.¹ He died, unmarried.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Hampshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹
