Sir George Cooke, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Bryan Cooke, 4th Bt. and Priscilla Squire.2 He married Catherine Sunderland, daughter of John Sunderland.1 He died on 16 August 1756.1
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Cooke, of Wheatley Hall, co. York [E., 1661] on 25 October 1734.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1739.1
