     Eliza Jane Dennis was the daughter of Francis Dennis.² She married James Hewitt Massy-Dawson, son of Hon. James Massy-Dawson and Mary Leonard, on 11 March 1800.¹ She died on 14 March 1834.¹
     From 11 March 1800, her married name became Massy.

     Francis Dennis Massy-Dawson was born on 23 September 1803.¹ He was the son of James Hewitt Massy-Dawson and Eliza Jane Dennis.² He married, firstly, Susan St. Clair, daughter of Charles St. Clair, 4th/13th Lord Sinclair and Mary Agnes Chisholm, on 6 August 1829.¹ He married, secondly, Harriet Griffinhoof, daughter of Reverend Thomas Sparke Griffinhoof, on 20 March 1861.¹ He died on 16 November 1870 at age 67.¹

     Charles St. Clair, 4th/13th Lord Sinclair was born on 30 July 1768.² He was the son of Andrew St. Clair of Herdmanston and Elizabeth Rutherford.² He married, firstly, Mary Agnes Chisholm, daughter of James Chisholm of Chisholm, on 13 February 1802.² He married, secondly, Isabella Mary Chatto, daughter of Alexander Chatto of Mainhouse, on 18 September 1816.² He died on 30 September 1863 at age 95.²
     He succeeded as the 13th Lord Sinclair [S., 1449] on 16 December 1775.² He succeeded as the 4th Lord Sinclair [S., 1677] on 16 December 1775.² He was as which recognised by House Lds on 25 April 1782.² He gained the rank of Ensign in 1784 in the 2nd Battalion, 1st Foot (Royal Scots.)² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1788 in the 17th Foot.² He gained the rank of Captain in 1791 in the 15th Foot.² He gained the rank of Major in 1795.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1799.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1803 and 1805 in the Berwickshire Militia.² He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1807 and 1859.²

     Susan St. Clair was the daughter of Charles St. Clair, 4th/13th Lord Sinclair and Mary Agnes Chisholm.² She married Francis Dennis Massy-Dawson, son of James Hewitt Massy-Dawson and Eliza Jane Dennis, on 6 August 1829.² She died on 17 September 1856.¹
     From 6 August 1829, her married name became Massy-Dawson.

     Francis Staunton Staunton-Massy was born on 27 December 1840.¹ He was the son of Francis Dennis Massy-Dawson and Susan St. Clair.² He married Julia Eliza Gilmour, daughter of T. C. Gilmour, on 2 August 1870.¹ He died on 11 December 1908 at age 67.¹
     He was given the name of Francis Staunton Massy-Dawson at birth.¹ His name was legally changed to Francis Staunton Staunton-Massy by Deed Poll.²

     T. C. Gilmour lived at New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Julia Eliza Gilmour was the daughter of T. C. Gilmour.² She married Francis Staunton Staunton-Massy, son of Francis Dennis Massy-Dawson and Susan St. Clair, on 2 August 1870.¹ She died on 4 November 1937.¹
     From 2 August 1870, her married name became Massy-Dawson.
