     He gained the rank of Captain in the 16th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institute of British Architects (F.R.I.B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Margaret Frances Giffard was the daughter of George Campbell Giffard.² She married Paul Humphrey Coleridge, son of Hon. Stephen William Buchanan Coleridge and Geraldine Beatrice Lushington, on 27 June 1914.¹ She died on 6 September 1964.¹
     From 27 June 1914, her married name became Coleridge.

     Antony Duke Coleridge was born on 18 June 1915.¹ He was the son of Paul Humphrey Coleridge and Margaret Frances Giffard.² He married, firstly, Kathleen Crozier Taylor, daughter of Herbert Taylor, on 4 July 1942.¹ He married, secondly, June Marian Caswell, daughter of George Frederick Charles Caswell and Florence May Edwards, on 26 April 1947.¹ He died on 31 January 2000 at age 84.¹
