Sir Metcalfe Robinson, 1st and last Bt. was the son of Sir William Robinson and Frances Metcalfe.1 He married Margaret D'Arcy, daughter of Sir William D'Arcy.1 He died on 6 February 1688/89, without surviving issue.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York in 1660.1 He was created 1st Baronet Robinson, of Newby, co. York [England] on 30 July 1660.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York between 1661 and 1679.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York between 1685 and 1687.1 On his death, his title became extinct.1

Mary Aislabie is the daughter of George Aislabie.1 She married Sir William Robinson, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Robinson and Elizabeth Tancred, on 8 September 1699 in a although this date is more probably 8 September 1679, based on the birth dates of their sons marriage.1

Rear-Admiral Sir Tancred Robinson, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1685.2 He was the son of Sir William Robinson, 1st Bt. and Mary Aislabie.1 He married Mary Norton, daughter of Rowland Norton and Margaret Robinson, in 1713.1 He died in 1754.1
