     Arthur Divett Hayter, 1st and last Baron Haversham was born on 9 August 1835.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir William Goodenough Hayter, 1st Bt. and Anne Pulsford.1 He married Henrietta Hope, daughter of Captain Adrian John Hope, on 7 November 1866.1 He died on 10 May 1917 at age 81, without issue.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1857 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1860 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the Grenadier Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wells between 1865 and 1868.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bath between 1873 and 1885.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hayter, of South Hill Park, co. Berks [U.K., 1858] on 26 December 1878.1 He held the office of a Lord of the Treasury between 1880 and 1882.1 He held the office of Financial Secretary to the War Office between 1882 and 1885.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Walsall between 1893 and 1895.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1894.1 He was created 1st Baron Haversham, of Bracknell, co. Berks [U.K.] on 11 January 1906.1 On his death, his title became extinct.1

     Rt. Hon. Sir William Goodenough Hayter, 1st Bt. was born on 28 January 1792.1 He was the son of John Hayter and Grace Goodenough.1 He married Anne Pulsford, daughter of William Pulsford, on 18 August 1832.1 He died on 26 December 1878 at age 86.1
     He was a practising Barrister-at-Law in 1819.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wells between 1837 and 1865.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1839.1 He held the office of Judge Advocate-General in 1847.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1848.1 He held the office of Financial Secretary to the Treasury between 1849 and 1850.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury between 1850 and 1858.1 He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln's Inn in 1856.1 He was created 1st Baronet Hayter, of South Hill Park, co. Berks [U.K.] on 19 April 1858.1 He held the office of Treasurer of Lincoln's Inn.1
