Sir George Mackenzie of Cromarty, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Kenneth Mackenzie of Grandvale and Cromarty, 1st Bt. and Anne Campbell.1 He married Elizabeth Reid, daughter of unknown Reid, in 1742.1 He died on 20 May 1748, without issue.1
He sold Cromarty to William Urquhart of Meldrum.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cromarty.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mackenzie, of Cromarty and Grandvale [N.S., 1704] on 13 September 1728.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mackenzie, of Roystoun, co. Edinburgh [N.S., 1704] on 9 November 1744.1

Elizabeth Reid was the daughter of unknown Reid.1 She married Sir George Mackenzie of Cromarty, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Kenneth Mackenzie of Grandvale and Cromarty, 1st Bt. and Anne Campbell, in 1742.1 She died on 24 August 1807.1

Sir James Mackenzie of Roystoun, 1st Bt. was born in 1671.1 He was the son of George Mackenzie of Tarbat, 1st Earl of Cromarty and Anne Sinclair.1 He married Elizabeth Mackenzie, daughter of Sir George Mackenzie of Rosehaugh and Elizabeth Dickson.1 He died on 9 November 1744.1
