     Major Alan Rowley Sale-Hill was born on 8 December 1877.² He is the son of General Sir Rowley Sale-Hill and Caroline Sophia Sale.^1,2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Caroline Bingham, daughter of Hon. Albert Yelverton Bingham and Caroline Begbie, on 8 August 1914.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Eliza Sullivan, daughter of William Holmes Sullivan, on 7 March 1925.² He died on 17 September 1936 at age 58.²
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.² He gained the rank of Major in the Somerset Light Infantry.² He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.²

     Anne Vesey is the daughter of Most Rev. John Vesey and Anne Muschamp.² She married Rt. Hon. Henry Bingham, son of Major Charles Bingham and Mary Blennerhassett, in 1726.^1,3
     She was also known as Susanna Vesey.³ From 1726, her married name became Bingham.

     John Bingham is the son of Rt. Hon. Henry Bingham and Anne Vesey.² He married Frances Shaen, daughter of Sir Arthur Shaen, 2nd Bt., on 1 June 1738.¹
     He lived at Newbrook, County Mayo, Ireland^G.¹

     Frances Shaen is the daughter of Sir Arthur Shaen, 2nd Bt.¹ She married John Bingham, son of Rt. Hon. Henry Bingham and Anne Vesey, on 1 June 1738.¹
     From 1 June 1738, her married name became Bingham.
