     Major Peter Hugh Hordern was born on 13 July 1916.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Hordern and Cecil Pearl Beeching.¹ He married Alison Cecily Weakley, daughter of Arthur Leonard Weakley, on 2 August 1941.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Tank Regiment.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1941.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.¹ He became a Freeman, Armourers and Braziers Company.¹ He adopted Janet Josephine Hordern.²

     Alison Cecily Weakley was born on 10 July 1920.² She was the daughter of Arthur Leonard Weakley.¹ She married Major Peter Hugh Hordern, son of Lt.-Col. Charles Hordern and Cecil Pearl Beeching, on 2 August 1941.¹ She died in 1986 at Dorset, England.²
     From 2 August 1941, her married name became Hordern.¹ She adopted Janet Josephine Hordern.³

     Arthur Leonard Weakley was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He lived at Alexandria, Egypt^G.¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹

     Jeremy Michael Hordern was born on 20 October 1943.¹ He was the son of Major Peter Hugh Hordern and Alison Cecily Weakley.¹ He died on 1 September 1946 at age 2.¹

     Vivian Charlotte Hordern was born on 22 April 1923.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Hordern and Cecil Pearl Beeching.¹ She married David Lewis, son of John Pryce Lewis, on 22 April 1952.² She died on 14 September 1963 at age 40, without issue.²
     She was in the Women's Royal Navy Service during the Second World War between 1943 and 1944.¹ From 22 April 1952, her married name became Lewis.²

     Mary Owen Radcliffe is the daughter of Reverend John Radcliffe.¹ She married Reverend James Hordern, son of Reverend Joseph Hordern and Ellen Allen, on 30 June 1828.¹
     From 30 June 1828, her married name became Hordern.¹

     Reverend John Radcliffe was the Rector at St. Anne's Church, Limehouse, London, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Reverend Houstonne James Hordern was born on 5 October 1829.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Hordern and Mary Owen Radcliffe.¹ He married Catherine Jane Campbell, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Campbell, on 17 April 1860.¹ He died on 31 January 1912 at age 82.¹
