     Charles Hanbury-Tracy, 1st Baron Sudeley of Toddington was born on 28 December 1778 at Toddington, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of John Hanbury and Jane Rachel Lewis.2 He married Hon. Henrietta Susanna Tracy, daughter of Henry Tracy, 8th Viscount Tracy of Rathcoole and Susannah Weaver, on 29 December 1798 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 10 February 1858 at age 79.3
     He was given the name of Charles Hanbury at birth.4 He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.4 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.4 On 19 December 1798 his name was legally changed to Charles Hanbury-Tracy by Royal Licence.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire between 1800 and 1801.4 In 1803 he helped raise the Montgomeryshire Legion.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Montgomeryshire between 1804 and 1805.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Tewkesbury between 1807 and 1812.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Tewkesbury between 1832 and 1837.4 In 1835 he was chairman of the judges of teh design of the new Houses of Parliament.4 He was created 1st Baron Sudeley of Toddington, co. Gloucester [U.K.] on 12 July 1838.4 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenantt of Montgomeryshire in 1848.4

     Hon. Henrietta Susanna Tracy is the daughter of Henry Tracy, 8th Viscount Tracy of Rathcoole and Susannah Weaver.1 She married Charles Hanbury-Tracy, 1st Baron Sudeley of Toddington, son of John Hanbury and Jane Rachel Lewis, on 29 December 1798 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.2 She died on 5 June 1839.3
     She was She inherited the Welsh property of the 8th Viscount Tracy of Rathcoole and the Morville property in Shropshire which her husband sold to increase the size of his Montgomeryshire estate.3 From 29 December 1798, her married name became Hanbury-Tracy.2 After her marriage, Hon. Henrietta Susanna Tracy was styled as Baroness Sudeley of Toddington on 12 July 1838.
