     Henri de Bourbon, Duc de Verneuil was born illegitimately on 3 November 1601 at Château de Verneuil, Eure^G.¹ He was the son of Henri IV, Roi de France and Catherine Henriette de Balzac, Marquise de Verneuil.¹ He married Charlotte Séguier, daughter of Pierre Séguier, Duc de Villemer, on 29 October 1668 at Paris, France^G.¹ He died on 28 May 1682 at age 80 at Château de Verneuil, Eure^G, without issue.¹
     He gained the title of Duc de Verneuil.¹ In January 1603 his birth was legitimised.³ He held the office of Bishop of Metz between 19 April 1612 and 1652.³

     Catherine Henriette de Balzac, Marquise de Verneuil was born in 1579 at Orléans, Orléanais, France^G.¹ She was the daughter of François de Balzac, Seigneur d'Entragues and Marie Touchet.¹ She died on 9 February 1633 at Paris, France^G.¹
     She gained the title of Marquise de Verneuil.¹ She and Henri IV, Roi de France were associated from 1601 to 1602.¹

     François de Balzac, Seigneur d'Entragues married Marie Touchet, daughter of Jean Touchet and Marie Mathy.¹
     He gained the title of Seigneur d'Entragues.¹

     Charlotte Séguier was born in 1622 at Paris, France^G.¹ She was the daughter of Pierre Séguier, Duc de Villemer.¹ She married, firstly, Maximilien François de Béthune, Duc de Sully before 1668.¹ She married, secondly, Henri de Bourbon, Duc de Verneuil, son of Henri IV, Roi de France and Catherine Henriette de Balzac, Marquise de Verneuil, on 29 October 1668 at Paris, France^G.¹ She died on 3 June 1704 at Paris, France^G.¹
     From before 1668, her married name became Béthune.¹

     Pierre Séguier, Duc de Villemer gained the title of Duc de Villemer.¹

     Maximilien François de Béthune, Duc de Sully married Charlotte Séguier, daughter of Pierre Séguier, Duc de Villemer, before 1668.¹ He died before 1668.¹
     He gained the title of Duc de Sully.¹

     Gabrielle Angélique de Bourbon was born illegitimately on 21 January 1603 at Paris, France^G.¹ She was the daughter of Henri IV, Roi de France and Catherine Henriette de Balzac, Marquise de Verneuil.¹ She married Bernard de la Valette, Duc d'Epernon, de Foix et de Candale, son of Jean Louis de la Valette, Duc d'Epernon and Marguerite de Foix-Candale, on 12 December 1622 at Lyon, France^G.¹ She died on 24 April 1627 at age 24 at Metz, France^G.¹
     She was also known as Mademoiselle de Verneuil.¹ Her birth was legitimised.¹

     Bernard de la Valette, Duc d'Epernon, de Foix et de Candale was born in 1592.² He was the son of Jean Louis de la Valette, Duc d'Epernon and Marguerite de Foix-Candale.¹ He married Gabrielle Angélique de Bourbon, daughter of Henri IV, Roi de France and Catherine Henriette de Balzac, Marquise de Verneuil, on 12 December 1622 at Lyon, France^G.¹ He died in 1661.¹
     He gained the title of Duc de Foix.¹ He gained the title of Duc de Candale.¹ He gained the title of Duc d'Epernon.¹
