     Claude Charles Bamber was born on 20 July 1889.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles James Bamber and Claudine Oclanis O'Brien.1 He married Dorothy Maude Carnegie Cheales, daughter of John Allan Carnegie Cheales and Edith Maud Salmon, on 2 February 1915.1 He died on 26 January 1919 at age 29.1
