     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1908 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1911 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the Royal Berkshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1917 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a director of Morgan Brothers (Publishers) Ltd.¹

     Gwendoline Mary Charrington was the daughter of Major Hugh Spencer Charrington and Elinor Mary Baggallay.² She married Oliver Nowell Chadwyck-Healey, son of Sir Charles Edward Heley Chadwyck-Healey, 1st Bt. and Frances Katharine Wait, on 2 September 1916.¹ She died on 13 July 1979.¹
     From 2 September 1916, her married name became Chadwyck-Healey.¹

     John Hugh Chadwyck-Healey was born on 23 July 1922.¹ He was the son of Oliver Nowell Chadwyck-Healey and Gwendoline Mary Charrington.² He married John Michael Copley on 10 February 2006 in a civil partnership marriage.³ He died on 27 December 2014 at age 92.⁴
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.² He was an opera house technical director.⁴ He lived in 2003 at 9d Thistle Grove, London, England^G.¹
