     Hon. Frederick Carmichael was the son of John Carmichael, 3rd Earl of Hyndford and Elizabeth Shovell.¹ He died on 13 August 1754 at London, England^G, from smallpox, without issue.¹

     Hon. William Carmichael was born in 1702.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. James Carmichael, 2nd Earl of Hyndford and Lady Elizabeth Maitland.¹ He was baptised on 29 November 1703 at Pettinain, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He married Jane Wilson in August 1734.¹ He died on 15 December 1765, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Archdeacon of Buckinghamshire in 1742.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Clonfert and Kilmacdiagh in 1753.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Meath in 1758.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Leighlin and Ferns in 1758.¹ He held the office of Archbishop of Dublin in June 1765.¹

     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lanark Burghs in 1734.¹

     Hon. Charles Carmichael was born on 5 May 1712 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. James Carmichael, 2nd Earl of Hyndford and Lady Elizabeth Maitland.¹ He died in 1732, unmarried.¹
     He was with the Honourable East India Company Service at Bombay, India^G.¹
