     Her married name became Lindsay.

     General Alexander Lindsay, 6th Earl of Balcarres was born on 18 January 1752.1 He was the son of James Lindsay, 5th Earl of Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple.1 He married Elizabeth Dalrymple, daughter of Charles Dalrymple and Elizabeth Edwin, on 1 June 1780 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 27 March 1825 at age 73 at Haigh Hall, Lancashire, EnglandG.2
     He was commissioned in 1767, in the service of the British Army.3 He succeeded as the 7th Lord Lindsay of Balcarres [S., 1633] on 20 February 1768.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Balcarres [S., 1651] on 20 February 1768.1 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Lindsay and Balneil [S., 1651] on 20 February 1768.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1777 in the 24th Foot.3 He fought in the Battle of Ticonderoga on 7 July 1777, where he was wounded.3 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1784 and 1796.2 He was Colonel of the 63rd Foot between 1789 and 1825.3 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1793.3 He was Commander of the forces in Jersey in 1793.3 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Jamaica between 1794 and 1801.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1798.3 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1802 and 1825.2 He gained the rank of General in 1803.3 He succeeded as the 23rd Earl of Crawford [S., 1398] on 30 January 1808, de jure, as the succession of the title was not confirmed by the House of Lords until after his death, in 1848.1

     Elizabeth Dalrymple was born on 5 July 1759.1 She was the daughter of Charles Dalrymple and Elizabeth Edwin.1 She married General Alexander Lindsay, 6th Earl of Balcarres, son of James Lindsay, 5th Earl of Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple, on 1 June 1780 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 10 August 1816 at age 57.1
     From 1 June 1780, her married name became Lindsay. After her marriage, Elizabeth Dalrymple was styled as Countess of Balcarres on 1 June 1780.

Maria Margaret Francis Pennington, daughter of John Pennington, 1st Baron Muncaster and Penelope Compton, on 21 November 1811 at Muncaster, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 He died on 15 December 1869 at age 86 at Dun Echt, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1 He was buried on 23 December 1869 at All Saints' Church, Wigan, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 14 March 1870, at under £7,000.1

     John Pennington, 1st Baron Muncaster was born circa 1740.1 He was the son of Sir Joseph Pennington, 4th Bt. and Sarah Moore.1 He married Penelope Compton, daughter of James Compton, on 26 September 1778.1 He died on 8 October 1813.1
     He was created 1st Baron Muncaster [Ireland] on 21 October 1783.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Pennington, of Muncaster, co. Cumberland [E., 1676] in 1793.1
