     Sir Thomas Palk Carew, 10th Bt. was born on 1 March 1890.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Palk Carew, 9th Bt. and Frances Gertrude Lock-Roe.³ He married, firstly, Ivy Madeline Laura Breakey, daughter of Colonel Arthur John Breakey and Laura Susan Augusta Carew, on 10 November 1913.¹ He and Ivy Madeline Laura Breakey were divorced in 1921.¹ He married, secondly, Phyllis Evelyn Mayman, daughter of Neville Mayman, on 20 August 1927.¹ He died in April 1976 at age 86.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Carew, of Haccombe, co. Devon [E., 1661] on 21 October 1934.¹
