     Hon. Nesta Elizabeth Carew was born on 29 April 1861.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Shapland Francis Carew and Lady Hester Georgiana Browne.² She died on 22 October 1936 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     On 28 December 1926 she was granted the rank of a baron's daughter.¹

     Hon. Anne Dorothea Carew was born in 1823 at Ireland^G.² She was the daughter of Robert Shapland Carew, 1st Baron Carew and Jane Catherine Cliffe.³ She married John Davies Gilbert on 7 October 1851 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.^1,2 She died on 6 April 1909.¹
     From 7 October 1851, her married name became Gilbert.

     John Davies Gilbert was born circa 1811.² He married Hon. Anne Dorothea Carew, daughter of Robert Shapland Carew, 1st Baron Carew and Jane Catherine Cliffe, on 7 October 1851 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.^1,2 He died on 16 April 1854 at St. Columb, Cornwall, England^G.^1,2
     He lived at Trelissick, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Hon. Ellen Jane Carew was born circa 1829. She was the daughter of Robert Shapland Carew, 1st Baron Carew and Jane Catherine Cliffe.² She married Charles Glynn Prideaux-Brune, son of Charles Prideaux-Brune and Frances Mary Glynn, on 29 July 1846.¹ She died on 12 September 1902.¹
     From 29 July 1846, her married name became Prideaux-Brune.

     Nicholas de Carew was born after 1203.¹ He was the son of William de Carew.¹ He died before July 1228.¹

     Johanna Marshal is the daughter of William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke and Isabella de Clare, Countess of Pembroke. She married Warin de Munchensi.
     She was also known as Joan.

     Thomas Conolly was born on 23 February 1823.² He was the son of Colonel Edward Michael Conolly and Catherine Jane Ponsonby-Barker.² He married Sarah Elizabeth Shaw, daughter of Joseph Shaw, on 1 September 1868.³ He died on 10 August 1876 at age 53.⁴
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Donegal in 1848.⁵ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)⁵ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Donegal.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)⁵ He lived at Cliff, County Donegal, Ireland^G.³ He lived at Castletown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹

     Catherine Conolly was born on 20 October 1871.² She was the daughter of Thomas Conolly and Sarah Elizabeth Shaw.^3,4 She married Gerald Shapland Carew, 5th Baron Carew, son of Hon. Shapland Francis Carew and Lady Hester Georgiana Browne, on 21 April 1904.¹ She died on 20 March 1947 at age 75.³
     From 21 April 1904, her married name became Carew. After her marriage, Catherine Conolly was styled as Baroness Carew on 21 April 1926.

     Richard Tuite lived at County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Major Hon. Gavin George Carew was born on 21 September 1906.² He was the son of Gerald Shapland Carew, 5th Baron Carew and Catherine Conolly.² He married Aileen Hilda Frances Cecil, daughter of Ean Francis Cecil and Hilda Mary Daubeny Wemyss, on 30 April 1932.² He died on 11 October 1997 at age 91.²
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England^G.² He fought in the Second World War, in the Western Desert, Italy, Belgium and Germany, and was mentioned in depstaches.² He was awarded the U.S. Legion of Merit.² He gained the rank of Major in the County of London Yeomanry.² He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.² He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1956.²
