William Plowden was born in 1666.2 He was the son of Edmund Plowden and Penelope Drummond.3 He married, thirdly, Mary Lyttelton, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir Charles Lyttelton, 3rd Bt. and Anne Temple.2 He married, secondly, Mary Stonor, daughter of John Stonor and Lady Mary Talbot.1 He married, firstly, Mary Morley.2 He died on 5 March 1740/41.2

Frances Carpenter was born on 10 June 1761.1 She was the daughter of General Benjamin Carpenter and Mary Carr.1 She married Henry Gough-Calthorpe, 1st Baron Calthorpe, son of Sir Henry Gough, 1st Bt. and Barbara Calthorpe, on 1 May 1783 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 1 May 1827 at age 65 at Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.1
From 1 May 1783, her married name became Gough-Calthorpe.1 After her marriage, Frances Carpenter was styled as Baroness Calthorpe on 16 June 1796.

John Stonor is the son of Sir Francis Stonor and Cecily Chamberlain.2
In 1581 he was imprisoned for harbouring Roman Catholic priests at Stonor, as was his mother for the same offence under the penal laws against Roman Cathlolics.1 He was later exiled to France.1

Charles Gough-Calthorpe, 2nd Baron Calthorpe was born on 22 March 1786.1 He was the son of Henry Gough-Calthorpe, 1st Baron Calthorpe and Frances Carpenter.1 He died on 5 June 1807 at age 21 at Flushing, Cornwall, EnglandG, from consumption, unmarried.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered in July 1807.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gough, of Edgbaston, co. Warwick [G.B., 1728] on 16 March 1798.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Calthorpe, of Calthorpe, co. Norfolk [G.B., 1796] on 16 March 1798.1 He was educated in 1799 at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
